Les Elfes International Switzerland - Summer Camps

During the months of June, July and August, Les Elfes organize summer camps for individuals aged 8-18 years. Les Elfes offer the choice between different sessions of 2 and 3 weeks of length.
A minimum period of stay is 2 weeks and maximum is 6 weeks.
Our summer camps are a mix of sports activities and the learning of foreign languages.
Everyday students are under our staff surveillance 24hrs a day and from the moment they arrive until the end of their stay at Les Elfes (staff ratio 1:7)

The camp centered on fun outdoor sports suited for kids and teens. Our aim is to allow yougsters to try out new fun activities and outdoor sports in optimum safety.
Teenagers can progress and improve their skils in sports they might have tried before and in which they may have some experience already.

The Swiss Alps region offers a wide range of activities combining the natural elements and gravity. During the summer camp, kids can discover a whole world of new sensations such as:

Mountain Sports - hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, ropes course
Land Sports - soccer, volleyball, table tennis, basket ball, badminton, petanque, trampoline, squash, tennis, golf
Water Sports - swimming, sailing, windsurfing, water skiing, tubing

The summer program is a perfect mix of sports and language learning.

What a better place than the beautifull mountains of the Swiss Alps to improve knowledge of french, german, english or spanish.

The regular foreign language program includes 8 hours of language tuition a week. Languages are taugh to children by the Verbier Language School which guarantees a high academic level during fun language lessons.
Kids will learn a new language or improve their conversational skills and follow 2 hours of tuition 4 days a week.

Intensive language programs focused on grammar and writing can also be selected. This program includes 15 hours of tuition a week, 3 hours of a day, 5 days a week. Courses a divided into two parts, with two hours devoted to grammar and writing, followed by an hour of conversation practice. With a maximum of 7 children per class, boys and girls can learn in the best way.

The teachers are young, helpful and enthusiastic university graduates. The youngsters are placed in appropriate groups, based on a proficiency test taken on the first day.

As part of the language learning program, particiants receive a certificate signed and graded by their teacher.

Verbier is situated in the French-speaking area of Switzerland and French is widely spoken in and around the camp.

Howerver, since it is an international camp, English is the official language of the camp and during their stay at the summer camp, kids will be able to practice the language of their choice with friends, which is undoubtedly the best way to achieve fluency in a foreign language.

Special events and Excursions

Kids are naturally curious with a desire to explore. During their summer camp they will spend an overnight in a mountain hut sleeping in dormitories... Fun guaranteed!

Once a week, youth go on an excursion to visit famous Swiss such as: Geneva, Bern, Evian, Lausanne, Gruyere, Montreu, Aosta.
