Les Elfes International Switzerland - Location

Les Elfes' camps are located in the famous Swiss Alps, Switzerland (Europe).

The Swiss Alps are the portion of the Alps mountain that ies with Switzerland. Because of their central position, they are also know as the Central Alps.

The highest summit is more than 4600 m and the most popular one is the world famous Matterhorn.

Switzerland is one of the most alpine countries as they cover 65% of the area. Located in Europe, the Swiss Confederation has a long history of neutrality and is home of many international organisations, the most knewed is the O.N.U., in Geneva.

Verbier

Verbier is a world wide known resort that is situated in the heart of the French speaking part of the Swiss Alps, in the canton of Valais, at an altitude of 1500 m opposite the Grand Combin mountain range which rises to 4314 m.

Verbier is ideally located on the south facing part of the mountain and guarantees exceptional sun both in summer and in winter. Verbier, se in a breathtaking panorama, is one of the most famous resorts in Europe and offers the best in sporting and leisure activities all year round in a cosmopolitan and relaxed atmosphere.

The ski area includes more than  450 kms of skiing and snowboarding runs from altitudes of 1500 m to 3300 m and has more than 120 ski lifts connecting the 4 valleys.

The high altitude of Verbier guarantees an incredible quality of snow from December to April.

In addition to a breathtaking panorama, Verbier is a cosmopolitan resort with a variety of shopping, eating and entertainment facilities, and deserves its reputation as one of Europe's finest mountain resorts.

Verbier is located one-and-three-quarter hours from Geneva, two-and-three-quarter hours from Zurich and 30 minutes from the French and Italian borders.

Zermatt

Zermatt, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn, is a world without cars. Electric-vehicles and horse-drawn sleighs and carriages are the only transport allowed.

It has a wind-protected southern location, embracing three ski areas, superb snow sports conditions and the longest skiing season in the Alps. Spring and Summer skiing is possible on the everlasting glacial snow at the foot of the Matterhorn, at an altitude between 2900 m and 3900 m.

There are 21 km of well-marked and safe runs, among them a downhill run of 7 km with a 999 m difference in altitude.

This white wonderland and the magic of the Matterhorn combine to create endless opportunities for spring skiing, and a vast variety of activity options.

Tzoumaz

At an altitude of 1500 m and overlooking the Rhone Valley, La Tzoumaz is a typical Swiss Alpine village with only 300 inhabitants.

La Tzoumaz is a summer camp resort in the Swiss Alps.

Like Verbier, it is part of the Four Valleys and is at the same altitude (1500 m).

The origin of the world Tzoumaz means taking a break which perfectly suits this amazing Swiss mountain resort. This typical Swiss village offers unspoiled nature and clean air.
