Senior Department Swiss international school for students aged 11–19 years old
St. George's Senior School is composed of Years 7 – 13 (grades 6 – 12) catering for students aged 11 – 19. The main school building houses all senior school classrooms, science laboratories, assembly hall, library and specialist rooms for art, music and information technology.
Students benefit from small classes of 5-16 students. The excellent work done by our highly qualified staff in these small classes is complemented by a well-stocked library, science laboratories, music rooms, art rooms and a fully equipped Swiss international school computer centre.
Rigorous academic programmes combined with extensive extra-curricular activities ensure a complete education. Small classes and individual attention guarantee a high rate of success in public examinations and entrance into universities worldwide.
Students at our St George Montreux Swiss international school can choose to follow one of two courses in the final 2 years of secondary school: the Advanced Level programme or the Graduation course. The Advanced Level programme is academically demanding and prepares students for entry into university. A-level options include the following:
Mathematics, English, Economics, History, Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Art.
The Graduation course is designed and examined internally. Options on the Graduation course include Psychology,Music,Sociology , History of Art and Environmental Studies Swiss international school, Science, Business Studies, Use of English, and TOEFL. Students in Years 12 and 13 are also offered the opportunity to take the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence).
