The American College of Switzerland has been welcoming students from around the world for nearly 45 years. Our prestigious alumni range from famous actors to heads of corporations all over the globe. We offer a comprehensive, quality education within the pristine environment of a Swiss mountain village. Students have the opportunity to learn and grow into mature young adults living within a vintage victorian hotel as part of a small community of students, who really do receive individual attention from its faculty and staff. Within this context we offer bachelor degrees in International Business, International Relations, an MBA in International Business and a Bachelors of Business Administration in Hotel Management. We are fully accredited by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools in the United States.

Inagine being able to take a field trip to the United Nations headquarters in Geneva and sitting in on an actual session of the UN Human Rights Council where your professor is making a presentation. Or take a trip to Montreux, just down the mountain for a walking tour with your English professor visiting among other places, Byron’s famed Chateau de Chillon. Walk the streets of Florence, Italy with your history professor and see original masterpieces by Michelangelo. This is what our students experience from their dorm rooms. When not in class or studying they have great options. Within the village of Leysin, our students take advantage of the many sports activities available in its two modern sports centers. World class athletes train here on a regular basis whether they are triathletes, marathon runners, professional cyclists, or snow sport enthusiasts. The facilities are world class. Students regularly snowboard, ski, swim, skate, mountain bike, hike the mountain, play tennis, and enjoy team sports together. Some even play for the Leysin Football Club. The options are many.

As one of the 8 international campuses of Schiller International University since 1991, students of ACS benefit both from being able to shift easily, without loss of time or credit, between the campuses in Switzerland, Paris and Strasbourg France, London, England, Madrid, Spain, Heidelberg, German and Florida, USA, and from receiving American accredited degrees at the end of their successful studies.

For students wishing to benefit from being in the heart of Europe, they are only steps away from the cogwheel train station, located at the back of SIUACS’s Grand Hôtel building. The Aigle-Leysin train grants students a breathtaking panoramic view as they travel up or down the mountain to almost around the clock connections in the valley making Geneva, Bern , Zurich, Monte Carlo, Monaco, Paris, France, Venice, and Rome Italy, Vienna and Saltzburg Austria, Frankfurt and Berlin Germany, and more not even a day’s journey.

Certificate in Hotel & Catering Supervision / Diploma in Hotel Operational Management
To obtain the SIU Diploma in Hotel Operational Management, two terms must be completed at Schiller Engelberg plus at least 15-20 weeks of industry placement. Upon successful completion of the first term plus 15-20 weeks of industry placement, students will receive a certificate of Hotel and Catering Supervision granted from London City College.

Post Graduate Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management
15 weeks at Schiller Engelberg campus + 15-20 weeks paid industrial training. For students with more than one year of practical experience in the hospitality industry, in-training may be waived. The Postgraduate course has been designed to provide mature students with a broad understanding of working life and practices within the hospitality industry.

As part of this world class environment our chef offers three great meals a day with brunch and dinner on weekends. The menus are healthy, varied and planned in detail to accommodate student preferences. Our student lounge offers a place where students can relax after hours, watch a movie on the big screen tv, play music, have a snack, socialize with friends and enjoy parties planned for their enjoyment. Our college, its classrooms, dormitory, dining and recreational facilities are all located in the same building and the library is just a few steps away.
