European Experience
» An International Location
For students wishing to benefit from being in the heart of Europe, they are only steps away from the cogwheel train station, located at the back of SIUACS’s Grand Hôtel building. The Aigle-Leysin train grants students a breathtaking panoramic view as they travel up or down the mountain to almost around the clock connections in the valley making Geneva, Bern , Zurich, Monte Carlo, Monaco, Paris, France, Venice, and Rome Italy, Vienna and Saltzburg Austria, Frankfurt and Berlin Germany, and more not even a day’s journey. Students benefit on a regular basis from such trips, organized by the school, as part of the on-going list of activities offered to students. Sports evenings and events, movie nights, trips in Leysin, around Switzerland and around Europe are all a common part of both the scholarly and social life of SIUACS students. The school prom occurs annually in exotic locations such as Monte Carlo, and Madrid. International Relations classes visit the huge variety of International Organizations available in Geneva, including the UN, and the Red Cross/Red Crescent buildings on class trips. Art classes take advantage of the huge offering of museums and displays available everywhere from the Pierre Gianadda Institute in Martigny with its collection of Roman artifacts, antique cars and modern artists to the numerous museums flourishing throughout Lausanne and Geneva. History classes travel to Florence for a week of art and history museums and famous architecture as well as amazing Italian cuisine and shopping. And the list goes on…| CONTACTS | |||
